Markham-based financial consulting firm TruFinancial Consultants released a video today to show their commitment to the community.
The firm is also offering assistance to Canadians amid the coronavirus outbreak. In addition, the firm was selected as "Ones To Watch in Credit Repairing Services 2019 - Canada" under the Global Business Insight Award by the Global Business Insight magazine in Birmingham, England, last year. They had worked with many clients who needed guidance on cash flow management and credit building.
The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, known as Advocis, has also launched a free online service to connect financial advisors with small business owners who need assistance in this uncertain time.
"The financial sector is looking for different ways to help their clients - although we are suffering ourselves." Mimi Lee, managing principal of TruFinancial Consultants, understands this is a tough time, especially for small business owners.
The Federal government had talked about the wage subsidy and everything, but small business owners are saying there is nothing for them. Everyone is trying to survive here, but nobody is looking at how the business owners can survive this economic hit. "Even before this hit, life in Toronto has not been easy, living costs were high, and many clients had been working very hard to stay on the float." One contact Lee has on Facebook, who was a team member when they hosted a free wedding to a lucky couple back in 2013, had written, "what about those who have their own business AND a job to stay afloat - Will there be support on both of those accounts?"
"We are all waiting on how exactly the Emergency Response Benefit program works and what we need to do to access that so that we can help as many as we can," Lee added.
